Tony Stewart and Donald Hawk's highly popular Superstar Racing Experience short track racing series are currently in talks to host a race in the Middle East before the end of 2023. The short, 6 race season of SRX could soon be getting a 7th race in 2023. Currently, SRX is in talks to host a race in either Saudi Arabia or Qatar. SRX CEO Don Hawk is full steam ahead for the next season of the series already revealing the dates for the 2024 season, adding that he has already heard from both drivers and venues interested in the new season.
Hawk revealed to the Sports Business Journal that SRX was evaluating an international race without giving anything more. It appears however that they are close to an agreement to bring the sport to the Middle East for an exhibition race of some sort. This event could see 8 US drivers, 4 international drivers and 4 host nation drivers for a total of 16 cars. The sport just finished it's 3rd full season at Lucas Oil Speedway on August 17th crowning Ryan Newman as the 2023 SRX Champion.

Tom Luttermoser"Being a NASCAR fan since the mid-90s, I've seen my sport go through immense changes, from Earnhardt to Gordon, Gordon to Johnson, Johnson to the "Big 3". Petty's 200 to Busch's 229*. I've seen 2 generations of racers and 4 generations of racecars. I've seen the peak of the sport, I've seen the loss of a legend. I can, in fact say.. This is the greatest time our sport has seen since its golden era and it will do nothing but grow from here. We talk about the Golden Era, The Modern Era. I think, We're entering the NEXT GEN Era."
