With all of my die-cast purchases I have had no better experience than that of my fellow life long Jeff Gordon fan Adam over at CSO Die Cast. A small, family owned company from the subs of NJ, Adam & Gabby do a spectacular job with packaging by always ensuring all of your Die-cast are packaged properly and shipped fast! He tops that by doing all of that with FREE Shipping! My first experience with CSO was in 2020/2021 off their eBay account with my purchase of a Chase Elliott 2019 Roval win 1/24. I have since had some experience with other small Die-cast distributers but ended up coming back to the team at CSO and I can tell you 10/10 will not be taking my business elsewhere! I have several reserved with them currently and cannot wait to continue to do business with Adam and Gabby for a very long time to come! They are the Official Die-cast shop of Seriously Fast Media and I recommend they be your go to as well! Use the link below and enjoy! www.csodiecast.com/ They make sure to post the most up to date arrivals including 1/24 and even those bad-ass (haven't gotten one yet) metal Chassis Rubber tire 1/64s like back in the day too!

Just a couple of months ago around the time of the Daytona 500, Anhueser-Busch announced a Program to support Women in motorsports called Busch Lite Accelerate Her. A $10 million, 3 Year commitment that takes aim at the inequity of recourses availible to women in motorsports such as funding for track time or media exposure. Along with Names such as Natalie Decker, Brittney Zamora, Jennifer Jo Cobb & Stephanie Moyer, Toni Bredinger was among several other female driver announced to the program. Today SFM finds out that in a NASCAR on Redditt AMA, Toni confirmed she is no longer part of AB's program. "Right now there is a huge narrative larger corporations are trying to say they support women in sports. So they make big announcements that they are supporting." She states. She is not wrong, I happen to watch Hulu a lot and one of the ads plaid multiple times is for supporting women in sports though they never mention how they plan to do so. Supporting stick and ball athletes is a very affordable endeavor in comparison to supporting racing drivers. "It’s important that people know – if a company isn’t on my car or my suit or my helmet they aren’t my sponsor,” Breidinger continued. “I’m focusing on my sponsors that are actually being about it and putting my car on the track and really supporting women in sports.” Visual and financial support on the race car are arguably the most important things to support any driver in any series. We in NASCAR have seen former champions of the sport who were still competitive lose their rides to someone bringing sponsorship. Today we also see 2x Champion and all-time wins leader Kyle Busch fighting over the same thing. By: Tom Luttermoser (I do not own the right to the Image via NASCAR Twitter)
Over the years... NASCAR drivers have received gifts from mother Nature in the form of race victories. The two of three of the most recent stand as another form of gift, First Career wins. Justin Haley (Daytona 2) and more notably... Bubba Wallace's win at Talladega being the biggest story of them all. Bubba's for many reason the biggest of which was that he became only the second Black driver to ever win in NASCAR's top series. The third of those being a first win of the season for (at the time) defending Cup Series Champion Chase Elliott at the inaugural NASCAR race at Texas's Circuit of the Americas. Some hold rain wins as "not real wins" while some wins are praised (Dale Jr's final win @ Phoenix) and it seams that these wins depend on the popularity of the winner. One of the most popular race wins was (as listed) Dale Earnhardt Jr's 2015 Fall Phoenix win. It signified what very easily could have become the closest to a Cup title he had ever gotten and a HUGE "What if?" moment. After an abysmal round of 12 Jr was eliminated from the Playoffs. If he was not eliminated in that round the win at Phoenix would have locked him into Homestead and a shot at thee title which was what made it so special (No-one knew it would be his last). On the other hand, overwhelmingly the worst received, probably in the whole of the history of the sport... was Wallace's Dega win last season. Although Extremely popular in terms of media reception and overall for the sport. Bubba Wallace's rain shortened win was absolutely hated and joked about even still constantly to this day on social media referencing "NASCAR only called the race due to the storyline it created and for the publicity". Now let's be honest, NASCAR Social Media is a sestpool of keyboard warrior vomit... But the haters are real. On to the main topic of the article; Rain Shortened Race winners! Jeff Gordon & Darrell Waltrip are the "luckiest" drivers in NASCAR history with a combined 9 rain shortened wins. Five drivers have three wins each, two with two & a bunch with a single win. So for the moment ya'll have been reading for... Here's the list from luckiest to just lucky. (spoiler alert, Kyle Busch has backed into 0 this way) 1.) Jeff Gordon 6 Bristol 1996, Talladega 1996, Atlanta 1998, Pocono 2007, Pocono 2012 2.) Darrell Waltrip 4 Atlanta 1977, Atlanta 1982, Bristol 1983, Darlington 1992 3.) Rusty Wallace 3 Pocono 1991, Martinsville 1995, Phoenix 1998 Jeff Burton 3 Spring Darlington 1999 Fall Darlington 1999, Las Vegas 2000 Tony Stewart 3 Michigan 2000, Loudon 2000, Fontana 2012 Kurt Busch 3 Atlanta 2002, Loudon 2008, Michigan 2015 (I was there) Cale Yarborough 3 Martinsville 1976, Richmond 1977, Martinsville 1977 4.) Richard Petty 2 Martinsville 1973 and Pocono 1974 Serling Marlin 2 Daytona 1996 and Michigan 2001 & With 1 win each.. A big list 5. David Pearson, Tim Richmond, Davey Allison, Dale Earnhardt, Mark Martin, Ryan Newman, Chase Elliott, Bill Elliott, Jimmie Johnson, Matt Kenseth, Aric Almirola, Chris Buesher, Carl Edwards, Kasey Kahne, Justin Haley, Joey Logano, David Reutimann, Darrell "Bubba" Wallace Jr, Bobby Labonte, Michael Waltrip, Greg Biffle, Dale Earnhardt Jr, Joe Nemechek, Clint Bowyer, Kyle Petty & Dave Marcis. *We do not own these images. They will be updated as more arrive* Last season market the first time in over 30 years the NASCAR Cup Series ran a race on the dirt. split 50/50 in approval from the fandom. Some referring to it as a gimmick and some embracing the new event. Many loved the idea of Cup cars on dirt but appalled by the idea of covering Bristol Motor Speedway in the red stuff. Although Fun to watch, the race was a pure shit show with horrible visibility and NASCAR even going as far as to amend the restart rules to single file toward the end of the race.
We obviously don't have an abundance of statistics with only 1 single race under our belts last season. Qualifying & practice were rained out last year. The Top-5 consisted of Joey Logano winning, Ricky Stenhouse Jr the Runner-Up followed by Denny Hamlin in 3rd, Daniel Suarez in 4th and Ryan Newman in 5th. The Dirt racers everyone expected to outclass the field, Christopher Bell and Kyle Larson wrecked each other earlier in the race leading up to anyone's game. We saw Daniel Suarez blow us all away with his performance in a dusty Thunder Valley and a late race restart showing how aggressive Joey Logano can be. Overall lap leader Martin Truex Jr led 126 laps en rout to a 19th place finish. Several drivers have not yet run Cup cars on dirt. Drivers such as Justin Allgaier, Noah Gragson, Todd Gilliland, Austin Cindric, Harrison Burton & Justin Haley will all make their first Bristol Dirt Cup Starts. Josh Williams will make his Cup Series Debut. Last years stand alone starter included names such as Windom, Marlar, Golobic and Truck Series regular Stewart Friesen. Neither of these drivers will attempt in 2022. What to Expect in 2022.

Tom Luttermoser"Being a NASCAR fan since the mid-90s, I've seen my sport go through immense changes, from Earnhardt to Gordon, Gordon to Johnson, Johnson to the "Big 3". Petty's 200 to Busch's 229*. I've seen 2 generations of racers and 4 generations of racecars. I've seen the peak of the sport, I've seen the loss of a legend. I can, in fact say.. This is the greatest time our sport has seen since its golden era and it will do nothing but grow from here. We talk about the Golden Era, The Modern Era. I think, We're entering the NEXT GEN Era."
