“This is more than an opportunity behind the wheel for me, it’s an opportunity to play a personal role in a project that everyone involved cares about. That is special.” By: Tom Luttermoser Image: Ryan Vargas Twitter
22 Year old driver Ryan Vargas has had a busy last 2 days. Wednesday with the announcement that he will run a partial schedule for On Point Motorsports in the Craftsman Truck Series and Thursday that he will be a crucial part of the development of the newly rebranded Mike Harmon Racing team, CHK Racing (Clayton Harmon Keller Racing) in the Xfinity Series. In an announcement from CHK Racing and Vargas Thursday, Ryan will be the new Anchor driver for the team's #74 Camaro. He will also serve as a consultant for the team's restructuring to help build CHK Racing into a top notch Xfinity team. “The work done internally already has been great to see, and I’m excited to be a part of helping this team make the steps necessary to build into competitive form,” Vargas stated about his new consulting role with the team. Ryan has helped work with 3F Racing and their development driver, Christopher Tate with late models and Tate has had nothing but great things to say to me about Ryan. Ryan Vargas is making some huge steps for his career in 2023 and it could not happen to a better guy!

Tom Luttermoser"Being a NASCAR fan since the mid-90s, I've seen my sport go through immense changes, from Earnhardt to Gordon, Gordon to Johnson, Johnson to the "Big 3". Petty's 200 to Busch's 229*. I've seen 2 generations of racers and 4 generations of racecars. I've seen the peak of the sport, I've seen the loss of a legend. I can, in fact say.. This is the greatest time our sport has seen since its golden era and it will do nothing but grow from here. We talk about the Golden Era, The Modern Era. I think, We're entering the NEXT GEN Era."
