For the first time since the rebrand from Ford Racing to Ford Performance in 2015, Ford Performance is making some changes. A logo redesign and the addition of the new Mustang GT3 race car. Le Mans, France - Ford Performance dropped some bombshells this morning in Le Mans. The introduction of the All-New 2024 Ford Performance Mustang GT3. The new car is based on the All-New 2024 Mustang Dark Horse street car. The new GT3 car will compete in the 24 Hours of Le Mans race in 2024 and globally starting in 2024. Also great news, the car already has a buyer with Proton Competition becoming the first customer. The team was the first to officially declare their intent for a Mustang entry in the 2024 World Endurance Championship season and the 2024 24 Hours of Le Mans. In addition to the new race car, Ford Performance has also added a new logo. Gone is the fully spelled-out white and red "Ford Performance" branding with the blue oval above. Now we see a simple, modern, and sleek F & P joined together. Ford calls it " A cleaner, simplified look". The new brand logo will adorn new merchandise, liveries, parts and displays worldwide. It will also be adopted in all forms of motorsports the brand competes in. “Ford and Le Mans are bound together by history. And now we’re coming back to the most dramatic, most rewarding, and most important race in the world. It is not Ford versus Ferrari anymore. It is Ford versus everyone. Going back to Le Mans is the beginning of building a global motorsports business with Mustang, just like we are doing with Bronco and Raptor off-road.” -Jim Farley, Ford Motor Company CEO By: Tom Luttermoser.

Tom Luttermoser"Being a NASCAR fan since the mid-90s, I've seen my sport go through immense changes, from Earnhardt to Gordon, Gordon to Johnson, Johnson to the "Big 3". Petty's 200 to Busch's 229*. I've seen 2 generations of racers and 4 generations of racecars. I've seen the peak of the sport, I've seen the loss of a legend. I can, in fact say.. This is the greatest time our sport has seen since its golden era and it will do nothing but grow from here. We talk about the Golden Era, The Modern Era. I think, We're entering the NEXT GEN Era."
