Just randomly scrolling through Twitter during my morning... routine... Thursday I came across something interesting, an announcement from 3F Racing. 3 Friends Racing is (as I searched and honestly couldn't find too much) is a German GT and Touring car race team whos website is clearly new and devoted to their freshly announced Cup Series team. The teams official Twitter posted this on July 18th so I have no idea how I missed this (or many of my colleagues in the media) but… very cool to see it getting the light it deserves however late it may be. "After racing successfully in Europe’s highly competitive GT and Touring Car series, it is time to take on one of the biggest stages in motorsports – NASCAR!" Is the first thing you see at the intro to their website www.3f-racing.com. From there they call themselves an "eco friendly race team" and you now hear from team Owner Dennis Hirtz, “For us it is more than entering a new racing series, it’s making a childhood dream reality. And we will succeed with a very strong team, as friends, and with high-class drivers." As you can clearly see from the above image, the team intends to field the #30 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1. I honestly really enjoy their blended colors of their show livery. Yellow, Black, grey and white makes for a very sharp looking race car. And of course, this helps show what NASCAR intended, a Cup Series car to attract new teams and new team owners to the sport. The NEXT-GEN car has done just that with The Money Team Racing, Team Hezeberg, NY Racing and now 3 Friends Racing. This also helps cement NASCAR as an International Motorsport. The team does intent to run "some" races near the end of the 2022 season with plans to run-part time in 2023. 2024 seems to be the target for their Full-time Cup plans. No information has yet come to light on Sponsorship although they do have a link on their website, nor is there any information on a first race or a named driver. With that being said, Stick with Seriously Fast Media for all of your updates and here’s to hoping that this is not another one of those goofy false Announcements.

Tom Luttermoser"Being a NASCAR fan since the mid-90s, I've seen my sport go through immense changes, from Earnhardt to Gordon, Gordon to Johnson, Johnson to the "Big 3". Petty's 200 to Busch's 229*. I've seen 2 generations of racers and 4 generations of racecars. I've seen the peak of the sport, I've seen the loss of a legend. I can, in fact say.. This is the greatest time our sport has seen since its golden era and it will do nothing but grow from here. We talk about the Golden Era, The Modern Era. I think, We're entering the NEXT GEN Era."
