Denny Hamlin Drops 3 Major Milestones With Pocono Victory

Denny Hamlin is without a doubt one of the best to have ever raced at Pocono, and his win Sunday cemented him into that dominance.

Love him or hate him, Denny Hamlin is one of the greatest drivers in the sports history. Top-75 to be exact. But Denny has been especially good at Superspeedways... and Pocono Raceway. Last year, Denny Hamlin scored his 7th Pocono Victory only to be disqualified due to a film being placed under the wrap on the car's front fascia. 

Fast forward a year and Hamlin led 9 laps to finally win again, scoring 3 major NASCAR milestones.

50 Career Cup Series Victories

• His first points-paying car career Cup victory at the 2006 Pocono 500 
  
• This win passes Tony Stewart on the all-time wins list
• He now sits 13th on the Combined all-time list
  

Winningest Cup Driver at Pocono Raceway

• Denny has now won more than Hall of Famer Jeff Gordon at the Tricky Triangle
• He swept both 2006 races and won again in 2009, 2010, 2019, 2020, and again in 2023
  

Toyota's 600th National Series Victory

• The Craftsman Truck Series 2004 Line-X 200 at Michigan International Speedway was Toyota's first NASCAR National Series win with Travis Kvapil behind the wheel 
  
• Jason Leffler won the brand's first Xfinity Series event at what is now known as IRP
• Kyle Busch scored the Brand's first Cup Series win at Atlanta in 2008 followed by its first championship in 2015.
