Chase Elliott's Playoff Waver Granted

After a 1 race suspension for Actions Detrimental to Stock Car Racing, Chase Elliott's Playoff hopes may still be alive.

Chase Elliott fans can rejoice. After being suspended for intentionally wrecking Denny Hamlin on the front straight of Charlotte Motor Speedway on Monday, the #9 team had to apply for a Playoff waver. That request has been granted. That means Chase and the 9 team can still compete for a spot in the 2023 Playoffs despite missing the race at WWTR Gateway this upcoming weekend.

Chase Elliott does however still have a big hole to dig out of to get into contention with points, he can still win his way into the Playoffs to make it a lot easier.
