Andretti is one of the most legendary names in American motorsports.. Arguably THE most legendary name. They have made some huge strides for American performance in so many different disciplines. Andretti Autosport has been talking about entering the FIA and Formula One as soon as possible. Today we get news that Andretti Autosport (now Andretti Global in F1) is partnering with General Motors and their luxury brand, Cadillac, to compete for the F1 World Championship title. Andretti Autosport currently compete in the NTT IndyCar Series, Indy NXT, IMSA SportsCar Championship, Australia's Supercars & Super2 Series, Extreme E and Formula E. Andretti applied with the FIA (Federation Internationale de l'Automobile), the governing body for F1, to join the World Championship in 2024. Formula One has had 10 teams for years but F1 and many of the current teams were open to adding an 11th if they brought in a new OEM (sound Familiar?). Formerly the '24 entry was planned with Renault as an engine supplier. It's not known as of yet if Cadillac will supply the high performance 1.6L Turbo V-6 hybrid powerplant or if the plan is still Renault with a Cadillac chassis. Stick with us here at Seriously Fast Media as we will be pursuing this news very diligently.

Tom Luttermoser"Being a NASCAR fan since the mid-90s, I've seen my sport go through immense changes, from Earnhardt to Gordon, Gordon to Johnson, Johnson to the "Big 3". Petty's 200 to Busch's 229*. I've seen 2 generations of racers and 4 generations of racecars. I've seen the peak of the sport, I've seen the loss of a legend. I can, in fact say.. This is the greatest time our sport has seen since its golden era and it will do nothing but grow from here. We talk about the Golden Era, The Modern Era. I think, We're entering the NEXT GEN Era."
