In a move that should surprise no-one, Justin Allgaier will return to his famous red, black and yellow BRANDT Professional Agricultural Chevrolet with JR Motorsports for 2023. Rick Brandt and his company have been on Justin's racecars since 2011 at Turner Motorsports and moved with him to HScott Motorsports in Cup before the duo made a career altering move to JR Motorsports in 2016. Since 2016 in 6 full-time seasons, the 7 team has made it into the Playoffs and made it to the Championship 4 4 times with a career best standing finish of 2nd in 2020 at Phoenix which is where Justin and JRM scored their first victory together in 2017. Justin and JRM made the announcement Thursday that they would continue the partnership that has given Justin 16 of his 19 career series victories, those 16 are also JRM's highest with a single driver. It was also announced that Brandt would return as the primary sponsor for 20 events next season. JR Motorsport CEO Kelly Earnhardt Miller stated that Rick Brandt's enthusiasm for the #7's race program was "unmatched" saying, "it's an honor for us to continue this partnership along side Rick (Brandt) and everyone at BRANDT Professional Agriculture." She went on to say that, "Year after year the No.7 team remains one of the strongest competitors in the garage." On top of Justin, JR Motorsports held the Xfinity Silly Season's #1 spot with Gragson leaving the 9 car. Then, Joe Gibbs Racing's Brandon Jones announced he will be taking that ride next year and then Sam Mayer announced that he would return to the 1 car for '23. That leaves Josh Berry as the only JRM driver with no full-time announcement for 2023. Justin and the 7 sit 11 points above the cut line going into Vegas this weekend and the Round of 8 with 3 victories to their credit so far this season. I would be surprised to see the 7 car not make it to Phoenix as a title competitor once again.

Tom Luttermoser"Being a NASCAR fan since the mid-90s, I've seen my sport go through immense changes, from Earnhardt to Gordon, Gordon to Johnson, Johnson to the "Big 3". Petty's 200 to Busch's 229*. I've seen 2 generations of racers and 4 generations of racecars. I've seen the peak of the sport, I've seen the loss of a legend. I can, in fact say.. This is the greatest time our sport has seen since its golden era and it will do nothing but grow from here. We talk about the Golden Era, The Modern Era. I think, We're entering the NEXT GEN Era."
